Boarding

The School has two boarding houses with the capacity to accommodate around 50 boarders. The boys’ boarding house, Philp House, is a purpose built boarding house. The girls’ boarding house is within the Main House, an 18th century mansion house.Both boarding houses benefit from a stunning 57-acre parkland setting and provide access to the School’s outstanding facilities such as the swimming pool and sports centre.

Boarding allows you to make lots of new friends, be independent and yet be part of a large family. The residential housemaster and housemistress are there to help and support you but also to organise a range of after school and weekend activities to keep you busy. They help to ensure that there is a friendly atmosphere, a family ethos and caring staff so that everyone can get to know each other and get on well – in other words, they want to make your stay at the School an enjoyable experience. they want you to achieve your full potential in all aspects of school life and, above all, be happy.

For our older boarders and overseas boarders, the School is ideally located with a regular train service to central London taking around 30 minutes. The School is also within half an hours drive of London’s two main airports, Heathrow and Gatwick.
