The following facilities are available out of school hours and in school holidays.
The Main House at the City of London Freemen's School and its immaculate gardens provide a spectacular scenic backdrop for perfect celebrations of all kinds, be it your wedding reception, a birthday party, company gala dinner, family reunion or any other special occasion. Our experienced staff are renowned for their attention to detail, and will help create a memorable celebration for you and up to 120 guests. With over 30 years of combined experience providing functions the management team here at the City of London Freemen's School is totally confident that we can advise you on all aspects of your dining arrangements and individual food and beverage requirements.
The Sports Hall can be used for a wide variety of activities in association with the use by the School or its pupils.
It has a rubber floor with an impact absorbing surface and is marked up for:-
The heated Hall has a viewing gallery and changing rooms with showers.
Multi Activity Room 1 for more than 15 people (12.6 metres x 9.3 metres) and Multi Activity Room 2 for less than 15 people (12.4 metres x 6.4 metres).
The pool measures 25m x 12m, its depth is 0.9m - 1.8m and it has six lanes. The maximum capacity for casual swimming is 60.
There are changing facilities, a balcony and upstairs toilets.
The maximum operating temperatures are water 28 degrees Centigrade and air 29 degrees Centigrade.
Life guards can be supplied, if necessary.
If anyone wants to use scuba equipment (or such like) they may as long as they make sure it is absolutely clean ie no bacteria from the sea.
The surface of the all weather pitch is a sand based astro turf measuring 101 metres x 66 metres. (Suitable footwear must be worn – no studs or blades). It can be floodlit until 7.30pm (not weekends).
This pitch is suitable for football, tennis (12 courts April to July) but mainly hockey.
The surface of the mini astro pitch is an all weather artificial surface on a tarmacadam layer measuring 46 metres x 40 metres. (Suitable footwear must be worn – no studs or blades). It can be floodlit up to 9.00pm (not weekends).
This pitch is suitable for netball (two courts), tennis (three courts – April to July) and mini hockey (seven-a-side).
The Ferndale Theatre has a 172 capacity auditorium and a back stage area. The stage is trapezoid in shape and measures nine metres along the back, 4.5 metres across the front and 4.5 metres in depth.
There are two full range DAS factor 8 speakers, one DAS Sub 15 bass speaker and DAS amplifiers to power, controlled by an Allen & Heath GL 2000 sound desk. There are 48 lighting channels, controlled by an ETC express 48/96 lighting board.
The Theatre is suitable for productions, concerts, speeches and countless other options.

The Assembly Hall has a maximum seating capacity of 252 or 360 if used for a reception (with an additional 195 in the upper section).
The Junior School Hall has a maximum seating capacity of 168 or 200 if used for a reception.
